This lesson will support students in verifying accuracy of lead placement on the EKG and in identifying three types of lead systems/standards: limb, augmented and precordial. The lesson involves application of electrodes and lead acquisition for the following special considerations: 12-lead EKG, ambulatory (Holter, event) monitoring, stress testing, and telemetry for patients who have the following special considerations (amputation, dextrocardia, posterior chest, and pediatric patients).
