String Shapes

In this activity, learners work together to make polygons with string. Learners explore making different kinds of triangles, quadrilaterals, and other polygons. Through teacher-led questioning and discussion, students can analyze and compare two dimensional shapes in different sizes and orientations, as well as similarities, differences, and attributes. (Please note: the understanding of concave & convex polygons are not part of kindergarten geometry standards.)
