Who Lives Next Door?

Through a hands-on activity in this lesson students will be developing an understanding of the markings on a ruler using whole, halves, and fourths of an inch. They will use a line plot to generate data by locating and identifying the correct whole, half, or fourth marking. The students will measure and record real world objects to the nearest quarter inch. This activity will culminate with the students creating a project that uses a line plot to identify Who Lives Next Door?
