Time Out on Tech: Part 2

Using the case study, “Time Out on Tech,” students will identify the impacts of their digital device usage on behavior and discuss the impact that the internet has on the community. Students will research device usage information as well as use their research on their personal technology usage over a week from part 1 to address the research question: “How are devices helpful or hurtful to people in the community?”

Time Out on Tech: Part 1

Using the case study, “Time Out on Tech,” students will explore their own technology usage over a week using a line plot. Students will identify the impacts of their digital device usage on their behavior using a mood tracker and discuss the impact that the internet has on the community. Students will also explore how the content they produce online has a permanent impact on their digital footprint. This is part 1 of a 2 part unit on device usage.
