Students will then show what they know by completing and submitting a short written response to a provided prompt. |
| Federalists vs. Anti-Federalists Philosophical Chairs | This lesson is called “Federalists vs. Anti-Federalists Philosophical Chairs.” Philosophical Chairs is an activity that helps students to gain a deeper understanding of an issue by using text-based evidence to support a claim. This activity should follow an introductory lesson on the Federalists and Anti-Federalists. |
| Federalists and Anti-Federalists | Students will read for understanding to learn about the key differences between the Federalists and Anti-Federalists. Students will then analyze primary document quotations from each of the sides and determine if each quote was from a Federalist or Anti-Federalist writer.
