This professional development module provides training on the utilization of CPALMS, an online toolbox of information with over 10,000 vetted instructional/educational resources and interactive tools that help educators effectively implement educational standards. Developed at Florida State University's FCR-STEM (Florida Center for Research in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), it is the State of Florida’s official source for standards information and course descriptions and is free for all Florida educators. Adopting a professional development philosophy where teachers are encouraged to submit their most effective resources and engage with a collaborative community of professionals who review those resources for standards-alignment and quality, CPALMS is “for teachers by teachers”. By completing this module you will a learn what CPALMS is, how to navigate the website, and explore the rigorous and multi-tiered review process used to ensure high-quality resources are accessible for all Florida educators.
